It’s their only recourse at this point. When they released the 1.1.1 update, they introduced consumer panic/confusion as well as stymied the people who actually build stuff for them. Before 1.1.1 was announced, there was a new app a day, since then, maybe one or two have come out.
Just after 1.1.1 was hacked, 6 new themes appeared in my downloader. Go figure.
