Orbiting the sun at 358 million kilometers from the sun, between Mars and Jupiter, the rock in question was named Douglasadams by the Committee on Small Body Nomenclature. Pretty fitting since he died in 2001, his initials are DA and 42 is attached to the end of the designation.
“I couldn’t trust the thinking of a man who takes the Universe – if there is one – for granted.”

“Last Chance to See” Its a good read. Highly ironic in parts.
I think FP should have reduced the price of their concessions. $12 for a pop and a bag of popcorn and it costs them something like $3 to stock? Come on! Their head office should be the first to be hit by 2001DA42.
It’s still cheaper to wait for it to come out on DVD and buy it.
The book I’m reading currently has a bunch of Douglas Adams quotes in it. I guess he wrote a non-fiction travelog about animals on the verge of extinction. Who knew he was so multi-faceted?
Maybe his asteroid will slam into the Earth and make us go extinct….
yeah, um, speaking of Famous Players, do you think it’s true that as of this Friday prices for all movies will be dropped to $9.95, for any movie, any time, any day? But popcorn prices remain…
