SharkBoy may have brusitis in his knee. He’s been in pain steadily since Monday and today I convinced him to go to Toronto General Hospital after work because his knee was “pulsating”.

Ew.

4.5 hours later (I guess that ain’t too bad) we’re getting an xray.

    You meet all kinds in Emergency on a Friday night. I highly recommend it for any aspiring writers

    The whole hospital live blogging experience is a bit of a larf. I did the same thing earlier in the week. At least it removes some of the boredom.

    More seriously though, I hope SharkBoy is alright. How’s your medical system over there? A 4.5 hour wait for an X-ray makes me think its much like Australia’s. Acceptable, provided you’re not in a rush.

    Y’know I once knew a guy who had a pulsating knee, and he poked it with a pen and this leech-type creature tore through his skin and bit his finger before running off behind the sofa

    I know someone who went to emergency with a sore knee and after two days he came out of intensive care… They had to amputate — just below the neck. Oh it was awful! The palstic surgeon did a great job though, you can hardly tell.

    I’m sure it’ll be a better out come than that. At least I hope so!

    i’m glad you explained in detail here. after the shot on flickr i was thinking you’d been cooking for the two of you again.

    i can recommend a good physiotherapist (and his partner does acupuncture, too) and slip you some painkillers if needed.

    I went on a “date” with a guy I met on Craigslist. Not bad. Not my next boyfriend, but not bad.
