The big split in Disney animators came with their production of Robin Hood. There’s a dancing scene in it with Little John and the Chicken Lady in Waiting. When it cuts to Maid Marion they had reused the footage of Snow White clapping. I believe the dance sequence was from another movie as well – the Jungle Book I believe.
Once Walt died they really lost their way, and subsequently a lot of animators to other companies.
Damn…I had that one….My kids watch all of those…I have been going thru all the archives to find DVD’s of the Disney movies…As far as the reuse….remeber that these were done in the early to late 40’s & 50’s…no computers, so if you could start with a template 50% completed you did it…damn Cheap Disney Bastards…
